Help No Vibration on SMS

Hi, is there anyway to make the phone vibrate upon receiving an SMS?
Also I noticed the vibration is too soft, is there anyway to set it harder?

found it on page 20

for me i went to messaging->menu->setting->vibrate this way even if it's in silent it still vibrate without the little ring to let u know u got a message
