Yep. Coming from a device using volume+ myself, probably would suggest the s3 doesn't need it. Recommend at least disabling those apps if you're turning alarm up
I turn it up full every morning and look at the settings periodically throughout the day, then again last thing at night to make sure they are still on full, but every morning it's back down to 1/7.
If deleting and recreating the alarm doesn't do It or clear data on the clock app, I would recommend a factory reset. You may think this a drastic response but often updates break thing. This is the cleanest way of getting a bug free system.
