No Wifi Milestone

the phone is brand new
no programs or anything installed
not even SIM card
heres the settings for the router

it says disconnected and thats it
i tried different passwords

Turn off all wifi encryption and then try connecting the phone to your wifi. We need to rule out bad hardware/rom and verify that the phone can connect to wifi at all.

Which encryption are you using? WEP? WPA? From what I've read, Android doesn't like WEP. I was using WEP and getting the same issue you are having. I changed to WPA and all is good now.

wep sayys obtaining adress then unsuccessful .

It worked in WEP
if anyone finds out how can i make it work in WPA , its safer, let me know please
