NoBars (enables Airplane mode when no signal) ?

Hi folks, has anyone ever tried NoBars? It's supposed to enable airplane mode when there's no network signal, does it help save battery?

I spotted some details here NoBars enables airplane mode when you’re in a wireless dead zone

Hadn't seen this before...might be worth a try. I would certainly expect it to save one's battery. I've had it happen a few times that my phone has expended a lot of energy trying to find a signal when there was none to be had. As far as I know, a phone can actually use more power searching for a signal if it doesn't have one.

Well, this app is certainly helping to improve my battery life, as I mentioned I work out in the sticks, sometimes I get signal and moments later I don't.

Currently my battery is at 73% and 10h 17m since a charge, I've done some light web browsing, checked email a few times, lattitude, texted and 1 phone call.

Hey...that's good to know. I don't often find myself without coverage, but when I do it's a drag to be wasting battery power. I think I'll go ahead and download it. Thanks for the update. :)
