Nokia 1.3 - How to add widget

Hello,

on Nokia 1.3 I don't know how to place widgets on the start screen. When I long press the start screen no widget options are showen. Just "Screen setting" & wallpaper.

I suspect, as the Nokia 1.3 runs a slim version of Android called Android Go, there may not be that facility. I will check later.

If all else fails, just install a different launcher from the play store such as Nova launcher, adw launcher, etc.
Once you have installed the new launcher, make it default, and long press on an open spot, choose widget, choose the widget, long press and drag to the start screen

It seems widgets were initially supported on Oreo Go Edition devices, but not now.
As suggested, a different launcher, quickstep was mentioned, may work.

See what launchers are available from your Google Play Store app.

I was considering this as a second phone, but have no experience of Go Edition.
