Nomu s30 no command

MKAllm

Lurker
I got a Nomu s30 about two months ago and it has worked brilliant.. until now. I noticed the volume up button wasn't working (the phone hasn't been drowned or dropped anywhere) and figured a reboot might help. And suddenly there is a dead android and a "no command" error in chinese. I tried wiping the eMMc, testing etc but nothing seems to work and the phone is basically bricked. Any ideas how to bring it back to life? The phone is so new it doesn't have any real debugging or fixing information out yet.

If they don't work it doesn't matter if it feels solid...

.... And nomu's reputation keeps getting damaged by posters like the one above who just reply to requests for help with poorly written advertising copy.

If nomu cared, they'd send tech support people instead.

Perhaps this robot wrote advertising. But I used Nomu S10 for a long time (it's similar to S30). I did not have any problems with the phone. Who does not have problems, usually will not write on the forums. :)

If anyone from nomu is reading this... By any chance... Could you please turn off your advertising robots and shill accounts, as they are tarnishing your reputation and damaging your brand.

I think it's better to write about the problem to them. I do not think they read posts on the forums.

Maybe the people who they have paid to write here... (including someone who has literally signed up today ) could politely pass the feedback to your paymasters

Sorry if you're feeling paranoid.... You're not the only one who has signed up today. That might just be a crazy random happenstance

Feel free to stay and share your wide ranging opinions about everything...

And if you happen to know who in nomu would be good to talk to... As you suggested

Are you getting a dead android with 'no command' when you enter recovery?

On that screen, while holding the power button, press the volume + button two or three times. If that doesn't work, try pressing volume + and volume - keys simultaneously a couple or three times. Or try the volume - key by itself a few times (while still holding power button)

Let go of power button in between tries, phone will power down if held longer than ten seconds.

Also try alternating keys (holding vol+ while tapping power button etc). One of those combos will get you into the recovery menu. If your volume + button really is broken you might be screwed there. Try pressing it really hard, it may still work.

Let me know if it helps!

I have the exact same problem, up volume button stopped working just a few days ago, wasn't too worried but now the phone won't start and displays the no command error(although in english), did you have any luck fixing it?
