I recently bought my girlfriend an android tablet. After receiving it I noticed that the operating system prevents it from recognizing an adhoc wifi signal. This is my problem, She has a Pantech Breakout as her primary phone. My plan was to show her how to use the wifi tether w/root program so she could get online whenever. (she is not a fan of surfing the web/facebook on the breakout). anyway, I managed to get the tablet connected via tether to my droid bionic using the wifi tether w/ root , but no matter what profile I choose on the Pantech breakout I try I end up with an adhoc signal or none.
I was wondering if anyone knew of a way?
