Have seen this in a few spots and in case anyone needed to know or hadn't figured it out I have a fairly quick and easy guide for bootanimations on our phone.
1. Download Absolute System Root Tools (icon of hammer and wrench in a x)
2. Once installed open the app and grant it SU Permissions
3. Click on the boot animations section and wait for the list to populate.
4.You can either choose to download/install from a large list of bootanimations or download your own from your sd card.
5. Once you find the one you want download it from the list or install from your sd card.
6. After that you should be back at the list of all the bootanimations, hit menu and you will see an option that says bootanimation.zip editor, click it.
7. You will not see the animation of your choice broken down into frames, hit menu again and choose edit desc.txt
8.A page will now open with red and green writing and it will show you the current screen resolution (1280 height x 720 width). Most animations are set for smaller screens which you will see written in green.
9. Click on the green numbers at the top and change it to fit your screen resolution( again 1280 height x 720 width) also you will see a third number which is FPS (frames per second). The larger the number the faster the animation will be, stock is around 30 or so but may different depending on the animation.
10. once you have edited the screen resolution and FPS, hit back, hit menu, and save changes. You now have a boot animation that will fit the Spectrum perfectly.
11. Hit back one more time until you are back to the screen which each frame.Hit menu again and hit install. This will installthe edited bootanimation to the right spot.
12. Once installed hit reboot and you're done.ENJOY!!!!
This is a very easy way to get any bootanimation you want onto the Spectrum. It's a bit wordy but I just wanted it to be easy to follow. Hope this helps some people out there.
