Noob question craig clp281x

long story short: i bought a craig tablet clp281x and it needs firmware installation from an sd card. um, i dont have an SD card slot on my computer in the front...i tried using a usb card but it didnt work. how do i download onto an sd card?

Welcome aboard. If I understand you correctly...you want to install firmware on the device?

Usually, you update the firmware on the device. Are you getting an error message or something saying that you should install firmware?

I am getting a screen with "the android guy" in an ice cream sandwich and it looks like bubbles or someone throwing a pebble in a lake.


I checked the manufacturer's site (craigselectronics.com) which is down right now.

I have an android 4.0, but the instructions are for android 2.2.

and it's a netbook not a tablet. sorry if this is confusing :confused:

That shouldn't make any difference actually. because an internal SD slot on a computer is a USB device anyway, it's just that it's inside the computer. Do Craig's instructions specifically state for you put the software update onto an SD card? - and what exactly happens when you try, are you getting an error or something?
 
basically yes, it says to download the firmware to an sd card. here are some pics from the installation instructions.
