Noob SMS question

I sent a friend a one word SMS about a week ago. Now whenever I try to send an SMS to that person, that one word pops up and I have to delete it before typing my message. Kinda frustrating. What did I do and how do I undo it.
Using a HTC Thunderbolt

You might have set up a quick reply response by mistake to that contact. Trying looking in the settings for that.
