not allowing nonMarket apps

Lurker
I have an unlocked Flipside running on Telcel in Mexico. I used SuperOneClick v1.7 to root it with no problem. However, even after running the allow non Market module of SuperOneClick several times, each with the notice that nonMarket apps are now allowed, I still get a rejection message when I try to install a nonMarket app. What more do I need to do?

Dumb question, but did you go to Settings > Applications and check the box for Unknown Sources ???

It is an AT&T phone, so that is blocked by the system and the option does not appear. That is why I tried to do it via SuperOneClick!

Try googling Sideload Wonder Machine, not sure if this still works but I think it was designed for AT&T people who wanted a way around that.
