Not available in your country? (Just started)

My son had a Samsung galaxy player. Recently on google play we now the error of not available in your country. We're in the US. The game was on it before (candy crush). The player was bought in the US and we are the only owners. In google and the phone, it's set to US.

He did have some type of virus scan icon on it but it's gone now and it doesn't get picked up by AVG or other virus softwares

Any suggestions?
