Help Not being heard when making a call

I find that when making a call no one can here me unless I go to hands free

What phone do you have, what software version, can you hear them, has it always been this way or just started, if the latter what changed or happened in the day or two before it started? Basically we need more information to have a chance of working out what the problem is.
