Help Not Compatible with your device - OTT QBox

First time post - Have searched this and other sites but cannot figure out how to overcome the Google Playstore downloading problem which is "This item is not compatible with your device". I would like to load TV Launcher, Kodi 16.1,...etc but cannot.

I tried to change the build.prop but could not download the editor because again I have a compatibility issue with the editor app.

I could not locate an editor to download from other sites.

How can I get QBox to have compatibility with google play apps?

Kodi won't 'update' from anywhere because of the way it is installed on your box.
You'll have to uninstall Kodi and THEN download a fresh version.

Not sure why you'd bother - there's no noticeable difference between 15 and 16 in my opinion.

I'd be wary of loading alternative launchers onto these cheap boxes.

Did you ever find a solution for this?
I'm having the same issue.
I sideload but I'd like this rectified.
It's the only Android Box I have with this issue.
Even Google apps have compatibility issues.

Have you tried to 'sideload' the latest PlayStore .apk?

I suggestion you reset your Android TV box or just go to refresh your firmware:

If you are a normal computer/android TV box user then don't do anything too ambitious.

These cheap boxes are extremely fragile and it's so easy to break your device by trying to be clever.
