Hi,

I am living in Hyderabad,India. I got Samsung galaxy S AnyCall of Korean made from my friend. After i started using phone, all apps are in korean language. So i changed in English, but all apps are not changed in english. and also am not able to connect internet, some times WiFi works.

Like this i used up to 3 months, one day i went for another location suddenly my phone signals are lost and it not yet detecting any sim cards. i dont know what happened and phone also over heating.

Please give the solution.
1. Its not detecting any SIM Card.
2. Need to change all apps in English Language and want to connect internet.

Thanks..

Hi parvaz and welcome to Android Forums. The over heating might be caused by an app conflict. The non recognized Sim might be corrected by a battery pull reboot. Also a removal and reinserted sometimes corrects such. For the best support for your S you will be best served by checking out the area we have for your phone. Here is a link:

Best of luck and I hope with the help of these forums you can correct the problems you are experiencing. Thanks for joining us.

As a note, language change only affects Android, not the apps. Things like Settings. If you want the apps in another language, either the app has to support language change (it would be in the settings for the app), or you'll have to download English versions of all those apps. Back up all the Korean ones, uninstall them (to avoid conflicts) and install the English ones. Any English ones that you don't like, you can uninstall and restore the Korean ones from your backup. App Backup and Restore is an easy to use app backup app, and it's easy to get it to back up to your SD card if you want (it's in the settings for the app).

Thanks Rukbat for your immediate response on my issue, but the major problem is my phone not detecting any sim card. so, how i do all these things. and also before am unable to connect internet from my phone even on that time, so its not possible to take back ups and etc.

So please find me a solution for my issue.

Many thanks.

Thanks but i saw there are no suggestions what am looking for exactly...

So please find an exact solution.

Many thanks

If you've tried the easy fix stuff I suggest, you might try another Sim card if available. It's most likely not the Sim's problem but a test is not out of line. If all fails, a factory reset of the phone might be the answer. (be advised this will remove all installed apps, personal settings, and personal files, texts, music, and photos) You can set the unit up in your preferred language, most likely fix the running hot problem, and could fix your Sim problem. It would not be out of line to take the unit to your provider and tell them the Sim is not working.

Your best bet for support here will be to ask for help in the support area for your Galaxy S. Samsung Galaxy S - Android Forums

I tried other working sim cards in that phone, but no use. Sure i will try and get back to you after restore factory setting.
