I get not enough memory messege on Samsung 5260 mobile whenever I try to download something

Are you running low on internal storage? Check your system settings. If you've used more than 90% of the internal storage this will happen. Note that it's the internal storage that's important, not the space on the SD card.
If you are running short, you can try clearing app caches, uninstalling unused apps, or if your phone supports it (i.e. is running android 2.2 or 2.3, but not 4.0 or later) move some apps to SD. You do this by selecting the app in the Applications menu and then ticking the "move to sd" button if this is not greyed-out. Not all apps support this, and don't move an app whose widgets you use as the widgets will stop working.
