Help Not enough space issue

Mary Graves

Lurker
I have a Proscan tablet and it has Android 4.2 on it. I do not think it is rooted.

I wanted to install an app. The app is near 560 MB. I thought I had deleted enough apps to allow it to install. It downloaded to 95% done and then said it didn't have enough space. It isn't installed, but it still says it is taking up space, so now I can't redownload it to install it and I can't delete it.

I tried to reboot, didn't work. Still says that 1.8 GB is being taken up. (And I have 174 MB free)

I can not install a root app because I don't have enough space.
I can not install History Eraser because I don't have enough space.
I can not install anything, because now, I don't have enough space.
Can't clear any data from Google play or services because it says it isn't taking up 500 MB of space.

I am not tech savvy with Android tablet, so please explain things like you are talking to a ten year old.

Go to Playstore and install Ccleaner. It should find files no longer needed and will delete them.
