I came to have my first Android phone by accident about 2 months ago.
My trusty Nokia Nav had a cardiac arrest.
Christmas time, spent all my money, need a new phone.
Text and calls phone did not appeal, found a New Vodafone Huawei Ideos X3 for $68.00 delivered with my bonus bank.
2 days later, proud owner of a brand new baby.
Did't take long to figure this isn't a phone, it's a computer that can make phone calls.
Thought I'd check it out on Wikipedia, Whats rooting an Android? LOL! click.
2 days later I'm running a custom CM7Benru samia xmas rom.
Had to work a lot out for myself.
Tried seven different roms in this phone, none as good as the first one I tried.
Had a lot of fun learning a lot about these phones.
Highly recomended cheap toy, works great on Telstra.
2 weeks later I have a HTC Desire GSM Running latest CM7 official supported stable mod.
Still got a lot to learn abut these phones.
