Well in terms of activity and development the Samsung Galaxy Indulge R910 scene has basically been dead. This phone has so much potential.. it just saddens me to see it die away like this with not much development and progress. I myself even stopped using this phone for awhile and switched back to my old LG Optimus M which is actually a low end Android phone and the Indulge is a thousand times better than it, but I switched to my Optimus M because it currently has alot going on for it right now in terms of development and activity.
Its has 3 fully working CM7 (Gingerbread) ROMs to choose from and some other ROMs in general, and then there is someone who is working on making CM9 (ICS) available for the Optimus M. I mean CM7 is awesome, and just having it on your phone makes it so much better than any other Android that doesn't have it despite the specs and all the other technical things in my opinion. That's what made me switch to my Optimus M from the Indulge just to use CM7 and stay up-to-date in a way because froyo is just so ancient now that ICS is out, and not to mention someone is already working on CM9 (ICS) for the Optimus which I already mentioned in the beginning of this post.
It amazes me because the Optimus M is EOL but people still continue to develop and make progress on it, and there is an active community behind it. If a phone like that with shitty specs has so much going on for it, than the Indulge R910 definitely deserves more love.. I mean the optimus M runs CM7 just fine with no problems considering the low end specs it has, then just imagine if the Indulge R910 had CM7, it would be perfect!..
I read that PlayfulGod was working on a CM7 ROM for the Indulge, but it has been half a year since then and we still haven't seen a 2.3 ROM for the Indulge, and I don't think we will ever see one as the whole purpose of this thread was the acknowledge the Indulge R910 scene slowly dying away while other phones that are way below the Indulge are doing sooo much better. So to the devs and the Indulge R910 community, don't give up on this phone... it has alot of potential.
