not receiving calls, texts, but able to call out

I have a samsung galaxy s3 and randomly while my phone is on, I cannot receive texts or calls, and cannot send texts. I can make calls though. This is really irritating when my fiance cannot get a hold of me while he is out of town. Questions/comments/thoughts?? Help please.

Hi and thanks for asking your question. It sounds like your sim card might be going bad. If you go down to your carriers store and ask them to replace the sim card it should fix the problem. You can also check if the sim is in correctly, sometimes after dropping the phone the sim will shift and not be in properly.
