Not receiving notifications for some apps.

I have a few apps for which I do rely on notifications, but I don't get them. Can't figure it out, can it be something to do with permissions? As far as I can tell they're all set as they should be... Apps are Dark Sky, Citizen me, Yammer. Any ideas?

I haven't used those apps but I want to know, is your "sync" option turned on? Generally, you will find this option on your status bar...

I don't seem to have a Sync option in the status bar, even if I pull it down...

Then goto Settings >> Accounts >> Click the three dot menu >> Check "Auto-Sync Data"

Try going to settings>notifications>apps and setting the list to display blocked apps. It is quite possible that you inadvertently blocked these apps from showing notifications.

yep, everything checks. Except one thing: Under Apps & Notifications, under Notifications management it says "one app blocked from sending". When I tap on that, it shows the list of all apps, all of which are "enabled". Where's the blocked one?

You should have an option in that list to show only blocked apps. That will tell you which one it is.

Negative. The only options I have in Notification management (tap on three dots) are Lock screen notifications and Badges

What version of Android is your phone running? I've got it in Nougat (7)

What's "batch management" on your screen?

Android 8.0.0. Batch management allows to apply notification settings individually or as a group.

Oh... I thought that you would be able to see the blocked apps from there...

BTW, are you using any task killer or a similar app? Because they generally stop the apps from running and you don't get the notifications... They are not good either...

No, I'm definitely not using an app killer. And I still can't find a way of seeing which app is blocked. Something's wrong here, going to contact Huawei customer service.
