Not receiving text messages

Sent out about a dozen messages last night, to about 7 people, and have not received any replies (yes, they like me). I checked my phone and all settings are good. I haven't done anything new to my phone (LG Spectrum), nothing. I'm getting emails though. I have powered off/on. Any thoughts? TIA

If you can receive phone calls (call your phone), check with your carrier. They may be having text problems. If you can't call your phone, it's either a problem with your phone or your account. (Text and voice use the same path.)

The other (very slight) possibility is that your texting app isn't working. Back up all your current texts (SMS Backup & Restore is free) and install a different texting app. (The reason this possibility is so slight is that when an app isn't working properly it usually crashes, it doesn't just fail at doing one thing.)

Did you check to make sure the texts have a "sent" status and they are not still in the process of being sent?

Have you gotten texts from other people?

Just send a text to yourself . either from a free text service or from your phone to test if it works .
