Help not receiving texts... again.

Ok so, short and sweet, I own the LG Optimus Showtime running 4.0.4. About a week ago I realized I haven't received any texts for a while, so I pulled the battery and received like 15 texts at once. Everything was great until today. The same thing is happening now, and a battery pull isn't cutting it anymore. (No, I'm not rooted.) ST customer service told me to try sending a text to myself and turning the phone off and on. Of course, none of that helped. I need ideas! :)
 
I can't say I've had any texting issues with mine, though I have had the occasional problem with not being able to access webpages. One thing I tried that remedied it most of the time was set the phone to airplane mode, wait a couple minutes, then switch it back. Maybe try that and see if that helps in your situation. If not, you could always try doing a factory reset and see if that helps.
 
Ok, I'll try that the next time it happens. I did another battery pull for the like 10th time last night, and all of my texts came through. It's still working fine, but who knows when it'll mess up again.
 
This happens with me alot..I've found that the problem with me is simple..lol.
My inbox was too full and instead of giving me a warning message my phone just simply quit taking messages. Right after I deleted old messages I started getting them again.
 
Hello everyone. My L86C is not receiving texts so...I have tried everything for 2 days now. Airplane mode, restart, power off, deleted all messages, cleared all cache & history, Battery out multiple times, power on, power off again and unmount and remount SD card, dialed *22890 and everything I know to do and nothing has worked to restart my text. Also I cannot get rid of my voicemail notification! No voicemails in phone. Big sigh.
