I'm sorry to hear that you haven't yet found an answer for your issue. Are you trying to connect it to Kies software or are you just trying to connect it to Mass Storage? It might be the driver that is not working , which is stopping it connecting to the pc. Also, check the phone usb settings thoroughly - there just might be something you have overlooked. If problem persists, you might want to contact Samsung tech support for further assistance. Good luck!
kies is working properly and also i re installed device drivers too..its not the problem vth kies but its the problem in my mobile...wen i connect it to pc..either in mass storage mode or in samsung kies mode or in media player mode...my mobile is not showing any notification in the pull down menu..i alsounchecked the usb debugging mode...but still its not working..

Wow, you seem to have everything covered. You might want to have the device checkout. The problem may be the device.
