Had to change password a couple of times in GMail on desktop a few nights ago, now the email on my note 3 is not syncing since then. Guess it is going back to that original password so it thinks I am not logged in - at this point i do not remember the original password. What do I need to do to get this corrected? Thanks.

Assuming you mean your gmail is not syncing
I think you can do this:
settings
accounts
google
remove the account in question, then add it back using the new password.
This may cause it to resync everything from google servers, so check its all on the servers before you do it!
