I have to say that the Note 5 is a sweet piece of technology. Played with it at my local AT&T store, but couldn't get the answer to this question. Does the stock email and msg apps support unread counts? I know that it can be done with different apps or a different launcher, but i'm wondering about "stock". Thanks.:p

Should the number of unread emails appear on the top left corner of your main email application? Here is a snapshot of it from my note 5.

Sorry as a new member of this forum I had to wait a few minutes to post the picture. However I had to be on the road soon after I posted my last message anyway here it is.

Sorry, never got the picture.:p
I could be totally off-base in left field here & it wouldn't be a 1st.............:D:paperbagdroid:,but,as I've crossed that bridge many moons ago..............

I'm guessing the OP had the unread count number on the desktop short cut(s) in mind.

I'm looking for the number on the icon itself. Usually on the upper right side of the icon.:p

Yes it does.

The gmail app does not unless you install a 3rd party app
