Help Note 5 Won't turn on

A

Android Question

Guest
Okay so I've experienced bricked phones before, but this is kinda new. My friend gave me a Note 5 because my Note 4 is water damaged and told me I'd have to get this to work. It seems like a software glitch rather than hardware, so here's what's happening:

It won't turn on no matter what. I can't send it into recovery mode, I can't hard reset it, nothing. But when I tried holding Volume Down and Home for a few seconds, it vibrated shortly and the LED turned blue. The first time this happened, it vibrated periodically for about 10 minutes and then stopped vibrating, but the LED was still blue all night. When I woke up it was off. So I tried again and this time it only buzzed once, but the LED is still blue. Not flashing, just a solid blue. I can't do anything to turn it off now either.

Sorry if it seems like I'm rambling. I'm just trying to provide plenty of detail because I need this phone to work. Thanks!

It does nothing when I put it on the charger. When I plug it into the computer it doesn't appear on the "Devices" tab. And yes, I've tried download and recovery mode and the factory reset button combination.
