Help Note 8 and DROPBOX

So... with my Note 8, I have Dropbox installed, and have it set to upload my photos. However, it doesn't work. When I open the Dropbox app then all at once it'll upload everything it hasn't uploaded yet. But, it will not do it on a regular basis if the app is not open. Its worked fine in previous phones, previous Note series actually, but not with this Note 8.

I'm assuming the phone is closing the app, therefore not allowing it to run in the background to upload photos.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have power saving on? That interferes with some background applications.

That may be it. I just switched it up now, so Dropbox is UNMONITORED and able to run and use as much power as it wants.
