Note 8 ear speaker being too low

My phones call volume is insanely low I can barely hear anything. There is an issue with the ear speaker on the top front of the phone.

I got the phone less than 3 months ago. Should I contact samsung or verizon for the warranty claim?

It will depend on the channel that the sound is played through. For instabce i was annoyed at the low volume of the timer but that now uses the Alert channel insead of the Alarm Channel which have different volume settings,

Music player wose there are new EU Laws to limit the volume sent to headsets.
Things to check are Medeia Volume Sync in Bluetooth Sestings->3 dots

I disable this and the android volume minimisation by default and lower volume via my headset.

Hi there! I also experienced having low in call volume on my note 8. I tried different options like clearing cache and turn on addtl volume, but the most effective solution i made is using electric brush to clean the speaker on top of the screen. I cleaned it for about 3 mins and now I can hear clearly when i have a phone call. I hope it helps, thanks

I didn't want to file a claim on mine because it was going to cost $250, plus I was going to get a used replacement phone.

After reading the notes above, here is what I did. I installed a speaker cleaner app, which sends a sound through the main speaker, called Speaker Dryer. Then I installed Earpiece Speaker Volume Booster to send the Speaker dryer through the earpiece. Both apps are on the Play Store; The earpiece booster had tons of ads but I only used it for a few minutes.

Then I used a soft toothbrush and alcohol and scrubbed the speaker, while playing the Speaker Dryer app over and over for like 15 minutes.

Works great now.

Mine's too loud even on the lowest setting, same goes for the speakerphone. We should be able to practically mute these with the volume slider! In a quiet room everyone can hear my call. Ludicrous.

This actually worked for me I can't believe it. I've been struggling to hear people for about a year. Tried everything else many times. Now I have to turn it down haha, Thanks :)
