Thanks for the answer... But I need a way to transfer all my current notes in Notepad, which is years of work, and it will be a harsh assignment to manually write it all down... I am trying to avoid the journey.Use one-note, evernote, google keep.. or something that syncs at both ends

True that speeds up the process a tiny rats bit, but I meant avoiding any of that kind xD... Thanks for the advice!copy and paste into the above....
The short answer is yes, it's possible to transfer files from your device to your computer, via numerous methods, but it's more complicated than that.transfer Notepad notes
By "PC" do you mean "personal computer running Windows?" I ask because all of my PCs run Linux. What program on your computer do you want to use to make use of the transferred data? Does your Android app have a matching PC program?from Huawei p9 Lite to PC?

Hello MoodyBlues and thanks for answering. The short answer is yes, it's possible to transfer files from your device to your computer, via numerous methods, but it's more complicated than that.
Would you please post a link to your "Notepad" in the Play store? A quick search yielded several apps with that name.

You're welcome.Hello MoodyBlues and thanks for answering.
Okay, that's a good place to start.First the Notepad is not a playstore app, it is built in to my p9 Lite and is just named Notepad.
Gotcha.Second, by PC I mean personal computer running windows 10 x64.
Okay.I have tried all of huawei's own programs (HiSuite and Huawei cloud).
Bizarre! Why on earth would they remove that functionality?!I learned that on EMUI versions lower than 5.1, which is mine, since it only goes to 5.0.3, do not have the sync function, ergo making it unable to sync to huawei cloud
No...no, maybe not...and therfore not being able to export Notepad notes.
To be clear, by "Notepad notes" do you mean the data that used to be saved in their cloud can be downloaded as a zipped file? But you're no longer able to save your current data there?(I noticed Notepad notes can be downloaded as a zip through huawei cloud. Although there is no way for me to upload Notepad notes from my phone).
Don't despair just yet! Because I'm an old *nix (UNIX/Linux) person, I don't know the meaning of impossible when it comes to computing. We're using Linux (Android) in part of your scenario, so there should be hope. We'll need help from Windows people because I cannot help there. So I guess I am back to square one, manual copy paste seems to be the only solution? This just seems incredibly unwise, as literally anything else can be transferred...
Yes, here's how (I know this post is a year old now, but others will land here in searching):Hello all,
So there is no information on this topic out there, which tells me that it is most likely not possible to transfer Notepad notes from Huawei p9 Lite to PC??
Blasted... Anyone know a work around?
I'm glad you've posted this workaround. It may help someone.Open the built-in Huawei Notepad App, long press to open a note. At the bottom there's an option for Share; click it, and it opens share options; select Save to Drive.
But, damn, I'd hate to have to do that for many years' worth of work, as in the case of the OP. I guess it's a good reminder, or heads-up, that important data should be backed up--in usable form--early and often.Yes, it has to be done, one note at a time
