Notes App with no size limit

Hi,

The Notes app on my IPod Touch (The same app as the IPhone), doesn't seem to have a size limit on the amount of text in a note.

However, every Notes app I've tried so far for Android (overt a dozen of them) has a size limit. It seems to be the exact same limit because the text is cut off at the exact same word when I try to paste my largest document in there.

I'm assuming all these apps were written using the same base text container object.

Anyway, does anyone know of a note app that doesn't have this limit. I'd like one that has a yellow notepad theme like the IPod Notes app, but I'm getting a little less picky at this point due to frustration.

And no Cloud like apps. I don't want to store my notes on the web. I want the stored on the phone.

Have you tried "Colornote"? It says there is no size limit to the number of characters per note.

SpringPad also, stores the notes offline on the phone despite being primarily a cloud based app on PC (however I hear that the Chrome app also works offline). It only syncs to cloud when you have an active internet connection and doesnt force the issue. IMO this would be the best option for an onboard notes app.

Colornote was one of the dozen or so I tried. It had the same problem. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe it's not the apps that are the problem. Could there be something in Foyo that is limiting things. After all, in the previous 2.1 I could open as many web browser windows as I wanted. In 2.2 (Foyo), I'm limited to 4.

Just a suggestion. I know when I take notes using Colornote, my notes can be very long as far as note taking is concerned. Maybe you should try" Documents to Go" or "Quick Office Pro". They allow you to creat large documents, in your case, large notes. You still will have the same options, if not more. Only catch is they cost like around $10. If not, then break your notes up.

It does? How big are your notes? I got notes of up to 2500 words in Springpad. Probably some with more.

Mine is a bit bigger.

3032 words. 15863 characters including white space.

I have the paid Note Everything app. Just tried to import a 110 KB (12460 characters) textfile that I had on my SD card. Works flawlessly.

I'll try to look for something I have with more words and see if it goes in. It could be a device limitation for you.
