Notification and SMS sounds cut off halfway through playing.

When I receive a notification or an SMS the sound effect doesn't fully play. It'll begin the sound and suddenly cut off after half a second or so.

I can't figure out how to fix this. Any ideas?

Is it the same sound? Have you tried different sounds? It could be that the sound file is damaged.

Thanks for replying. It's multiple sounds, whether they're default Samsung sounds or downloaded from Zedge.

I still haven't resolved this issue. I'd rather not have to reset my phone if at all possible.

Did they work/play longer on a different phone? Typically notification tones/sounds are pretty short, alarms and ringtones are much longer. I have no idea how long one will play though, I've only ever used short ones
