I have a samsung galaxy admire from metro pcs & the problem I'm having is that after I view a text message it still appears in the notification bar & it's driving me crazy,how do I fix it??

Notification bar keeps showing text messages after viewing

Welcome to Android Forums, I'm rabidhunter and I would be happy to assist. Sometimes the text message notifications will still show if there are any other unread texts.
Have you tried dragging down the notification bar down and pressing the notification? That should take you to the "unread" text. I hope that helps you out. If it does not, please feel free to resubmit your question.
