i have htc desire u and its notification light is not blinking on pending notification. what to do??

Try going to settings-display and see if the entry for 'notification light' is checked.
If I remember right, HTC doesn't give you a blinking light for more than a few (maybe 15?) minutes. Is your notification light blinking at all after receiving a new notification?
