Help Notification sound plays not coming through headphone

Hi,


When I have my headphones plugged in and i'm listening to music when someone sends me a text message or an email comes the sound notification comes through the external speaker and not through the headphones.

The headphones turn off for a second when the notification plays so I would think it should come through the headphones as that is the point of having them plugged in.

Any fix for this?

I too would love an answer to this. This seems like such a silly thing to have to ask for, why isn't this default behavior?

I thought notification sound comes through both the ext speaker and the headphone at the sAme time. Initially, I thought it was weird that sound came through the ext speaker, but it's useful for situations where you are not using the headphone, but still have it connected to the phone.

With the headphones plugged in, I was ONLY getting the notification sounds through the external speaker. Most of the time, when I'm using my headphones, I'm sitting on a noisy bus or train with my phone in my purse or backpack and my headphones in my ears. So the sound is muffled by my bag AND the headphones and I can't hear it. If I happen to be holding the phone in my hand, I'll see the notification pop up and feel the vibration, but I want to be able to hear the notification sound through my headphones so that I don't have to constantly hold my phone (especially since I'm usually holding my tablet instead!)
