This is weird, but it seems some apps have access to some notification sounds and not others.
Hangouts for example can't access it's own notification sound "Hangouts Message" from the message notification option, but under the video call notification option it can. Also the phone ringtone can be set to the "Hangouts Message" sound. But only those two apps can use it. There are dozens more examples like this. For any given notification sound it appears completely random whether or not a particular app will be able to use it.
Why is it doing this, and how can I change it so I can set the notification sounds to whatever I wan't.
I have the sprint version and am running 4.4.2
