Notification Sounds on Silent/Vibrate

So I received my galaxy 7 edge last week through T-mobile and I have been experiencing a few bugs and quirks. The most annoying at the moment is when my phone is on mute or vibrate, I'm still getting notification sounds (hangout and viber messages, sms, and even phone calls). I have checked the profile settings and they both have the notifications on silent. When I reset the phone, it works as it should for a good twenty minutes before reverting back to sounds. Has anyone else been experiencing this as well? Should I wait for a fix or initiate an exchange? Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds like a bug,whether it be Samsung or Viber/Hangouts).
Can you go without using Viber Or Hangouts for a day or two,to troubleshoot,process of elimination?
In the meantime,I'd drop a line to both Hangouts & Viber,it may be something they're aware of with this phone..............
