Hello anybody, this is my first post so bare with me!!
I have an annoying problem with my new Samsung Galaxy S2, I cannot seem to get rid of the electronic female voice that talks both caller names and number and also text messengers numbers and e-mail notifications, all I want is the ring tone, message notification, and e-mail notification of my choice and not a semi American female voice that does not pronounce English names correctly, I could have any sound or a song for any notification on my last mobile (Sony Ericsson).

any advise would be appreciated.
 
I'm certain it's a setting and can easily be fixed to your liking ashfield. You will want to check in with the other users of your phone for those exact settings. There are a number of different S2 phones so you will want to click in on the link that represents your phone/carrier. Here are those links. Best of luck and welcome aboard.

Hi Olbrier, thank you for your reply, I am not sure the exact model of my SG S2 is, the model number is GT-19100 16gb and I am on the 02 network contract.

I have found the problem thanks to you guys, it is in the text to speech settings/driving mode:- incomming calls and notifications will be read out automatically!! you dont know how glad I am to be rid of that!
