Help Notification tone while making phone call

Hello,
First post... I hope I can get a good answer to a stupid question.
When speaking on the phone during a phone call, should I get a notification of some sort, the notification tone will be very loud in my ear.
I don't recall this happening with my HTC, and wonder where I can go to turn this off!
Any help will be appreciated.
Using Samsung epic 4g touch, Sprint ICS

I noticed it was a ittle louder than before, but nothing to crazy for me. I think it's juat a feature of ICS that is built in. I don't think you can disable. :dunno:

Curious if it can be shut off too. Wasn't like this before the ICS update. A little annoying to be talking on the phone and get a notification whistle in your ear.
