Notification trouble

I don't receive notification when phone is still.. but as soon as i open any app like WhatsApp i get lot of notifications... Because of this trouble i am missing necessary information.... Help me to get this issue corrected.. The Android version is 6.0.1.. ONEPLUS 3

Try going to... Settings > Battery > Menu (3 dots) > Battery optimisation > Switch from Not optimised viwe to All apps and go to Whatsapp and select, "Don't optimise". See if that helps.
