A hot friend of mine asked me for help, and I'm not finding the answer. LOL
She has a Motorola Droid. She does not tie notification volume with ringtone volume. This happened on 2.1. She was hoping it'd go away with froyo but she finally got it and it's still doing it.
Seemingly randomly the notification volume will just simply max out. Her question to me was, "is there some way to tell what app is doing it?" My answer is, "uh, dunno." Short of uninstalling everything, anyway. She's already uninstalled many apps.
She changes her notification ringtone weekly, and it happens just about daily (for months now), so that makes it less likely it's a ringtone app. Drat.
