I've seen the symbol before but never personally. I think it meant something had been pinned to your lockscreen. Can you press it and see what happens?
That kinds looks like the icon for casting. I do recall another thread about mystery lockscreen icons and the fix was indeed to tap on it and open up whatever was the related file/app.
