notifications sounds do not change

Phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7 I can't get the notifications to play what is set. I set the default notification to "bubbles" and the messages to "click" and all that plays is the "bubbles" when i get a text message. Any one else having this problem and is there a fix for it?

Which messaging app are you using? It may be that you need to change the notification sound from within the messaging app if you're not using the Samsung default app.
