Help Notifications via headphone

Hey guys, i've got my S5 but i have a little problem. Im using a normal headphone (with wire not bluetooth). my phone is always on vibration mode. On my old phone (xperia arc) when i plugged in my headphone i could hear notifications when i listening music. But with S5 i cant hear that. It just vibrating when i get a text but no sound. How can i fix that, any help?
 
On my phone, I set the Text Message Alert to Pure Tone single beep, full volume.

I have no clue if you hear that when headphones are plugged in. I don't own any.
 
Is there an app for headphone volumes? I mean when i plugged my headphone my sound settings will be like i want. Anyone knows?
