Notifications won't vibrate

Refuses to vibrate for native SMS app or Google Voice or Hangouts or Gmail notifications, whether on 'vibrate' mode or with the ringer on.
Settings are set for vibe, the phone vibrates for native email app and Facebook and everything else. Also a custom vibrate app from Play fixes it but I don't want a third party app handling my notifications.
Already uninstalled/reinstalled Voice and Messages updates. Rebooted phone. Googled for about three hours since yesterday.

*Solution - as soon as I turned off 'Edge Lighting', the notifications started working again.

Update - apparently it was my Light Manager app. I thought I'd tested for that, but nope. I had to either switch it off or download a separate apk from the app devs
