Nougat killed the WiFi

Other than the functional stupidity of removing the little drop-down arrow on the status drop-down, I can't get the Pixel C to connect to WiFi now since the Nougat upgrade. It says it's obtaining an IP and it chews on that for a few mins and then dies. Anyone else having this trouble?

No. My Wi-Fi is phenomenal. May I suggest you upgrade your Modem/ Router. I had very similar experience on N7 prerelease 2 in May could not connect to 5G and was 1/2 the speed with 2.4G than my Samsung Tablet. I tried everything to determine the cause.. even turn off all my servers, other routers, all Wi-Fi connected devices except the Pixel C and still was not able to connect. I only had 2 options bad C or bad Router. I started researching on Google to see if the this problem that happened with every C with N or was it sporadic and it seems it was hit a miss. I new I could replace my C but my gut feeling it was not the C so I check my Router out on Google and it seemed that others are having slow response but with the when others upgrade to the model they were very pleased. Router was the problem.
I hope this will help you.

After upgrading my Pixel C to Nougat my wifi is now dead as well. Did all preliminary troubleshooting - removed all saved networks; shut down wifi; rebooted; changed wifi settings on router and my Edge (which I use all the time to tether my Pixel) and nothing...refuses to connect to ANY wifi - open or otherwise.

Need a fix rather quickly as this is my "laptop" which I use for work extensively.

Well after numerous troubleshooting, including, the wiping of the cache, entering safe mode etc.---- the dreaded factory reset did the trick.

It wasn't as bad as I though since I was able to do a full restore from my Edge 7 device.

That being said....this was a ridiculous exercise for a hiccup that should NEVER had happened after this update!!

So disregard the above reply as the reset did work up until one of two events...I reconnected the Pixel Keyboard via Bluetooth or I enabled The Google App. Since then the wifi is dead again...

I have since disabled the bluetooth and rebooted, cleared system cache and the wifi is still dead - Tried to "Force Stop" The Google App but to no avail.

I guess they call this progress :)

Update to above.....it appears that is has nothing to do with the BLuetooth or Google App.

If I clear system cache via recovery mode then reboot, the wifi will connect about 1 minute after the reboot takes place. However, any changes made to the wifi, such as disconnecting or attempting to connect to a different wifi network, brings you back to square one and you will need to repeat the clearing of the system cache via recovery mode to make a single wifi connection
