Help Nova Launcher: backups won't upload without WiFi?

Hi all. Every time I make a backup of my Nova settings and try to upload it to Drive, I always get a notification saying it's waiting for WiFi to do the upload.

But I never use WiFi on my phone. I want it to upload automatically using my data connection. Anyone know how to set this?

You need to go to your Drive settings and set it to transfer by unchecking WiFi.

I sort of wonder why you would want to store it there.

You could tell Nova to Share and then use Gmail to send it as an attachment to anyplace in the world.

Doh, thanks! I thought I had already unchecked WiFi options for stuff like this!

I don't know, why not? Drive is for storage, isn't it?

I save my nova backup on my drive... That way, when I pick up a device (or have wiped my old one) I can just sign in, and load my layout.

Using email (or even Gmail) as a filing system is a lot more awkward.

I use a USB cable connection to my Windows workstation. Both devices are under my total control.

Everything on my phone that is backed up iks backed up this way.
