Nova Launcher smoother compared to Touchwiz on my s7?

Idk if this is just my phone but the s7 runs smoother and less choppy when I installed Nova Launcher. I like the new touch wiz look but it does stutter from time to time. Is this why so many hate touchwiz?

I just like how much customization Nova gives me - stuff that seems to be just what I want (more icons per screen, icon placement, etc.) The latest update last night really makes it zing now - I'm really, really pleased with my S7 now.

I've had so many Samsungs and I have installed Nova on every single one of the Samsung phones I had. If I had an AOSP/CM ROM, I would sometimes put Google Now Launcher but Nova has always been an option.
