novice app user

Hi,

just got an Xperia Ray phone.

I am a pensioner reasonably happy with computer use and fixing problems. Apps may be another story should I have a problem with my phone; though downloaded some apps without a problem so far.

Not sure about Google play account though as I get "There are no Android phones associated with this account."

Its a pleasure to be a member and know help is available if needed.

I don't know why you are getting that error message, but maybe someone in your social group can assist with getting this straighten out.

Silly question, but have you logged into Google Play with the same account the phone is registered to? And, have you recently updated the market app? You have to re-accept the terms of use.
