Help O+(plus) 8.16 android jellybean

[Android Question]

i just want to know if my O+(plus)8.16 android can update to a latest version?
i tried to click the system update but"the sytem is up to date"appear...if so,how to update?

Then the manufacturer didn't encode the update for your device. That means you can't update unless someone decides to make a custom ROM for your phone model, which is highly unlikely considering its not exactly a device from a main stream manufacturer who makes their drivers available to third party developers.

Basically, the usual things are if your Android is not a mainstream brand (Samsung, LG, HTC, Sony, Asus, Acer, Lenovo, a few others), don't expect updates.

It would differ from device to device.

Unless you have the source code, an in depth knowledge of Linux and various programming languages, it's going to be pretty difficult to get a custom ROM for your device.

how sad...this is not Oneplus...but anyway thank you for the information..

:::::by the way,one reason why i want to update my phone is to change the display matter ,,like the theme color(scheme color) to highlight/more darker the fonts style...so if you have idea or if this applicable to my device please tell me how...thanks bro...

You'll also need kernel source for your device (I think, my knowledge of what else is required is limited).
